Dawn Batchelor

I want to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and why photography is such a passion of mine.

My original camera was a Kodak Disc camera; I think I was 10 at the time. Many cameras later, I have  gone digital and love the creative freedom it gives me.  My feet have gotten wet in several different "creative" jobs, and I have finally decided what I want to be when I grow up.

I am married to my best friend and we have two daughters.  Wanting to save every moment with them has helped inspire and fuel my continued love of photography.  Saving these memories to look back at and remember.

I have boxes of photos from my past. When looking through them with a group of dear friends, I truly realized how much power a photo holds.  Those masses of 4x6 images brought back high school all over again.  The boxes of photos unlocked names, faces and stories and they swirled to the surface like it was yesterday.

I am an on location photographer, and will stand in a puddle or lie on the ground if it means I am getting the shot.   I enjoy using natural light and I like to mix things up a bit.  Over the past few years I have discovered that High School Seniors are truly my favorite subjects to work with.  I enjoy getting to know my clients and making each session a unique experience.

Photos are the keys to our past and I look forward to capturing moments for your memories.  They will become the artwork that matters.
